We are happy to annonuce that Jens Eric Eliassen is appointed as Managing Director in Marine Breed AS (MB), AFGC's subsidiary operating the first family based breeding program for Atlantic cod. He starts working full time in MB April 1 2008.

Mr. Eliassen earned his cand. scient. in Marine Biology at the University of Tromsø (UiT) in 1978, and is currently holding the position as Head of Institute of Aquatic Biology at Norwegian College of Fishery Science, UiT. Jens Eric Eliassen has extensive experience from scientific and practical challenges related to farming of Atlantic cod and other marine species, and from broad collaboration with R&D institutions, fishery and aquaculture industries, and relevant public institutions. Having Mr. Eliassen onboard represents a milestone in the further development of MB's activities.
