AFGC continues to grow and is proud to announce the employment of  Dr. Thomas Gitterle in our Technical Analysis Division.

Thomas Gitterle graduated as marine biologist from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1999. He earned his PhD in Animal Breeding at Akvaforsk/UMB in Norway in 2005 based on work on optimal selection schemes for improved resistance to WSSV in marine shrimp (P. vannamei). Since then he has been heading CENIACUA’s breeding program for P. vannmei in Colombia. In AFGC Dr. Gitterle will primarily work with genetic analyses and breeding value estimations.
